Roman Stadium in Athens

Posted 1 year ago by sakis in response to avatar bekky's question: I crave to see the place where the first Olympic Games were played. Where exacly is that in Athens? (give a different answer) .

It's the Roman stadium, in central Athens, east from the Temple of Olympian Zeus. All these overwhelming places to visit are quite close to each other, so you can make a tour, and catch a glimpse of them all. Added to this, from the hill of Acropolis you get a panoramic view, so you'll have an idea what way to take. If this doesn't help, go to the Hilton Hotel and ask for a map at the reception. That's what I did this year, it was free, and I managed to see everything going on foot.
